Twenty-five years ago Toyota built its first car in Britain, launching a manufacturing enterprise that has benefited from billions of pounds of investment and delivered more than four million vehicles to customers in the UK, Europe and beyond. To celebrate this landmark anniversary, Toyota has produced a special limited edition version of the Auris Hybrid, a model proudly built at its Burnaston factory and powered by an engine made at its plant in Deeside, North Wales.
Who are we? Good question, let me tell you...
Meet the Team
General Sales Manager
Sales Manager Ryan McRitchie joined Alexander Wallace as a Sales Executive in 2005 becoming Sales Manager in 2009. Ryan has recently completed his MSc in Strategic Automotive Dealership Management at Loughborough University to combine with experience of the motor industry.
Despite his youthful appearance Murray Esslemont has worked with Alexander Wallace for a very long time. Indeed when Director Jim Manson purchased Alexander Wallace in 1999, Murray came with the building. Much like a gracious swan taking flight, Murray has climbed through the Alexander Wallace ranks; starting out as an Apprentice Technician in 1999, before qualifying as a Toyota Technician in 2002 and becoming Aftersales Manager in 2011. Murray is a cheerful lad and looks a bit like Freddie Flintoff.
Young Connor is a rather nice chap. If you have a question regarding a Toyota, he is the man for you. Whether you need to know the wading depth of an Aygo, the drag coefficient of a Proace, Connor will have the answer. Connor has been with us since June 2013, looks a little bit like Louis Theroux and gives the best hugs!
With his manly beard Michael represents the more rugged half of the Alexander Wallace sales team. Michael joined Alexander Wallace in February 2016 with 3 years experience, not of hacking through the wilderness in a bid to survive by living off a diet of squirrel and berries as his looks suggest, but selling cars. We are not allowed to tell you who he worked with before but it rhymes with ' Blarnold Glark'.
Accounts/ Sales Administrator
'Spider' Jean Hutchison could be described as the glue that holds together the Alexander Wallace Sales Department. Albeit a glue that our Sales Consultants don't want to get on the wrong side of! Jean joined Alexander Wallace in 2014 after completing her BA (hons) in Accounting and Finance at Robert Gordon University and can often be seen sitting at her desk in the corner of the office poking pins into her Connor and Michael voodoo dolls.
Service Advisor Debbie Harris joined Alexander Wallace in 2015 and brings with her a wealth of motor industry experience. Debbie is currently undertaking the Toyota Service Advisor accreditation through the Toyota Academy. Debbie takes pride in ensuring that customers to Alexander Wallace’s service department receive a smooth and efficient service.
This friendly young lady is our new Apprentice Service Consultant Sumita Morton, she joined Alexander Wallace in 2016.
Our Parts Consultant Mark is one of Alexander Wallace's newest appointments and as such still exhibits an enthusiasm the rest of us all envy. Marks previous role as a buyer of dog food for a local outdoor stockist has given him all the necessary skills he needs to deal with the creatures he now works with!
Our Technician Grant joined Alexander Wallace in 2016. He is also Jean's son. Sorry Grant...
Our Technician Tomasz, our very own Polish James Bond, has been with the company since 2012.
Ollie joined Alexander Wallace in 2014 as Apprentice Technician. When not repairing cars he can be seen busting moves in his local boy band "the Chicken Kievs".
Lee joined Alexander Wallace as Apprentice Technician in 2015. Coincidentally our local baker van has seen its revenues soar. We are not suggesting a connection...
Andrew Ross is our Service Consultant. He is a very happy chap.
